Programs
ACRJ organizes to advance reproductive justice and build the Reproductive Justice Movement with four primary programs:
EMERJ: Expanding the Movement for Empowerment and Reproductive Justice
In 2007, we launched EMERJ, a national movement building initiative to deepen the coordination, strategy and effectiveness of grassroots reproductive justice organizations around the United States.
SEJ: Sexuality Education Justice
Sexuality Education Justice is a new approach to sexuality education that changes the way we think and act by putting the experiences of marginalized communities at the center of our work.
SAFIRE: Sisters in Action for Issues of Reproductive Empowerment
SAFIRE is our leadership development program, in which Asian high school girls in Oakland, California develop innovative, youth-centered political campaigns around reproductive justice issues.
POLISH: Participatory research, Organizing and Leadership Initiative for Safety and Health
Our POLISH initiative works with nail salon workers in Oakland, California to build their leadership and capacity to take action to protect their health and safety.
